Make GetTheNews.today Your Homepage

Microsoft Edge

1. Click the More More Actions button icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
3. Under the Open Microsoft Edge with section, select 'A specific page'.
4. Enter https://getthenews.today and click the save icon.

Internet Explorer

1. Pull down the 'Tools' menu of Internet Explorer.
2. Select 'Internet Options.'
3. The 'General' tab appears.
4. You'll see the 'Home page' box at the top.
5. Click the 'Use Current' button in that box.
6. Click 'OK.'

Mozilla Firefox

1. Pull down the 'Tools' menu of Firefox.
2. Select 'Options.'
3. Click on the 'General' tab, if it is not the first to appear.
4. You'll see the 'Home Page' box at the top.
5. Click the 'Use Current Page' button in that box.
6. Click 'OK.'

Google Chrome

1. Click the Menu Icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
3. Under the 'On startup' section, click the button next to 'Open a specific page'.
4. Next to that, select Set pages.
5. Type in https://getthenews.today and press Enter.
6. Select the site and press OK.

Safari

1. Pull down the 'Safari' menu.
2. Select 'Preferences.'
3. Click on the 'General' tab.
4. Note the 'Home page:' field and the 'Set to Current Page' button beneath it.
5. Click 'Set to Current Page'.
6. Click the red 'close' button.

Opera

1. Pull down the 'Tools' menu of Opera.
2. Select 'Preferences...'
3. The 'Preferences' dialog box appears. Click on the 'General' tab.
4. Note the 'Home page' field and the 'Use Current' button to the right of it.
5. Click 'Use Current.'
6. Click 'OK.'

Other Browsers

Other browsers offer a similarly friendly way to change the home page.

In a few cases, you may need to hilight the URL (https://getthenews.today) and copy (CTRL+C) / paste (CTRL+V) the URL from the address bar at the top of your browser window into a 'home page' field in your browser's options.

Some browsers will simply let you drag & drop the website icon onto the 'home' icon in the toolbar.
